Veda Ega Ready to Hunt for the Dutch Moto3 GP 2026 Podium
JAKARTA - Veda Ega Pratama has a very positive result to welcome the 2026 Dutch Moto3 Grand Prix (GP) race. He also has the opportunity to pursue his second podium this season.
The Dutch Moto3 race, which takes place at the Assen Circuit or known as "The Cathedral of Speed", will be held on June 26-28, 2026. This is the 10th race in the 2026 race calendar.
Veda said that he will try to take all the important lessons from each session before the main race in order to build his confidence.
"This circuit looks very interesting because it has a fast and flowing character. So, I think this will be a good challenge," he said in an official statement received from Honda Team Asia, where he is based.
Veda came to Assen after he performed brilliantly in the previous Grand Prix race in Brno, Czech Republic. He managed to finish in fifth place despite starting the race from 20th position.
The racer from Wonosari, Gunungkidul, was supposed to start the race from eighth position. However, he received a penalty of 12 grids because he was judged to be slow riding on the track in the Qualifying session.
Veda said that the results he got in Brno gave him a very positive feeling to welcome the race in Assen. He is also quite confident that he can get a strong result if there are no obstacles that hinder his ambitions.
"I will continue to work with the team, trying to improve my performance every day, and fight again to get strong results. I feel very motivated after Brno because it was a very positive race," he said.
Getting an additional 11 points from Brno makes Veda now have a total of 82 points. He is still 104 points behind Maximo Quiles as the leader of the provisional standings.
Veda, who has the status of a rookie in Moto3, is still chasing his second podium in his debut season. After climbing to the third podium at the Brazilian GP, the other best result was fourth place.
