Israel Caplok 464.400 Meter Persegi Wilayah Palestina di Kota Sinjil
JAKARTA - The Israeli government annexed 464,400 square meters of Palestinian territory in the city of Sinjil, north of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh provinces.
Citing AN, Thursday, June 25, the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) which is a Palestinian Government commission revealed that the land was seized by Israel and unilaterally labeled as "state land".
Israel even made it an Israeli security post named Givat Haroeh and will be used for the Shilo and Maale Levona settlements, which are very close to Sinjil.
CWRC warned of Israel's plans to create a continuous geographical corridor connecting all these settlements and to isolate Palestinian communities.
Sinjil, along with other illegal Israeli settlements, is located along Road 60, which runs through the occupied West Bank from south to north.
The Palestinian state's regional city is estimated to have been founded during the Crusades in 1103, when it was called Fort Saint Gilles.
The area is home to around 16,000 residents. Israeli illegal settlers have been repeatedly intimidating and attacking Palestinians in Sinjil and other neighboring towns, including Turmus Ayya.
