Bahlil Inaugurates Mini LNG Plant in Tuban with a Capacity of 55,300 Tons per Year

TUBAN - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia inaugurated the Mini LNG Plant owned by PT Sumber Aneka Gas in Tuban, East Java.

For information, the mini LNG refinery has a production capacity equivalent to 55,300 tons per year, with the production capacity of other oil and gas commodities; liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) 9,800 tons per year, condensate gas 19,600 barrels per year, and CO2 (liquid) 21,000 tons per year.

"By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim and giving thanks to the Almighty, today we officially inaugurate the PT SAG Mini LNG plant," said Bahlil in Tuban, Thursday, June 25.

He added that this project has an investment value of IDR 1.1 trillion and absorbs more than 330 workers.

Based on data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the natural gas processing facility located in Tuban is capable of producing compressed natural gas or compressed natural gas (CNG) with a capacity of 6 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMscfd).

The supply of mini LNG refinery gas comes from the Sumber Field of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Tuban East Java until 2035 with a capacity of 15 MMscfd. The LNG tank capacity is 1,600 m3 cryogenic storage.

The mini LNG refinery project owned by PT SAG was started in 2015 and entered the commissioning or LNG operation phase in 2026.

Later, the refinery will supply its products to the industrial, retail, and power plant sectors spread from Java, Bali, to Sulawesi.

For your information, PT SAG was established in 2018 and is part of the Super Energy Group - a company with a portfolio of gas processing facilities and CNG distribution in Java.

Several companies affiliated with him such as PT Energi Subang Abadi are the processing and distribution of CNG, PT Gasuma Federal Indonesia is the processing of gas, to PT Bahtera Abadi Gas is the processing and distribution of CNG.
