Deny Receiving Money from a Former Husband, Clara Shinta Brings Proof of Newspaper Account Since 2018
JAKARTA - Selebgram Clara Shinta visited Polda Metro Jaya to undergo an examination related to her report against her ex-husband, Derry Goestaf who has the initials DG. Accompanied by her lawyer, Clara was asked dozens of questions by investigators regarding the alleged defamation that attacked her self-esteem.
"The question is about defamation. There are about 30 questions. 30 questions and answered by Mrs. Clara well," said Clara's lawyer, Akil Rumaday, at the Metro Jaya Police, Wednesday, June 24.
Clara Shinta felt the need to take legal action because DG's accusations had greatly interfered with her personal life.
"I think it's getting more and more disturbing and quite disturbing. Especially because it's brought someone very close to me, like that. Which I can't mention here," said Clara.
One of the most hurtful slander for Clara is the accusation that she lives off of the money of the trust and has no ability to work.
"To slander me as if I were the one... what is it... a woman who was entrusted, that's it. Then slander me as if I might not have the ability to work and all he gave," he said.
To break the accusation, Clara submitted strong evidence in the form of her income history for years to investigators.
"I also have a lot of evidence, I have printed bank statements from 2018 about my income," said Clara Shinta.
He wants to prove that all the luxuries he has are the result of his own hard work since starting his career.
"So I can prove it to the police as well, and I was also asked for clarification that I never received any trust fund from anyone," he added.
Not only oral statements, Clara also supplemented her report with authentic digital evidence.
"There is a video link, then there is a flash drive in the form of a flash drive, then there are also screenshots of all kinds. That's it, just normal evidence," he explained.
Akil Rumaday explained that this case is still in the early stages but is processed very quickly by the police.
"This is in the series of investigations. The investigation is a series of investigator actions to make this event whether there is a criminal act," said Akil.
The article that was charged to DG was not a joke, related to the Information and Electronic Transaction Law (ITE).
"The examination material is Law Number 1 of 2024, yes, the presumption of Articles 433 and 434 and also Article 441," said Akil further.
Clara Shinta hopes that justice can be upheld without having to look at the background of the accused.
"I would like everyone who commits a crime to be held accountable according to the law, Kak. Anyway, according to what legal standards," he concluded.
