TWICE's Jeongyeon is interested in joining Gong Seung Yeon's agency, JYP's response
JAKARTA - TWICE's Jeongyeon is rumored to be discussing continuing her contract with JYP Entertainment. Not only that, he is said to be considering moving to VARO Entertainment, which is the agency where his older sister, actress Gong Seung Yeon, is under.
VARO Entertainment responded to the news by saying, "It's true that we just met with Jeongyeon but nothing has been decided yet."
Wednesday, June 24, JYP Entertainment also responded, "TWICE is in the contract discussion phase and we are proceeding with caution to respect the goals of each member."
Jeongyeon debuted as a member of TWICE in 2015 after competing in the SIXTEEN show. He also extended his contract with TWICE members.
This contract extension was made in the midst of TWICE undergoing the THIS IS FOR tour which took place on various continents. They will end the tour in early July in Seoul, South Korea.
On the other hand, Jeongyeon was also confirmed to make her debut through the film New Recruit: The Movie and played the role of a nurse. This film marked her acting debut as an actor.
VARO Entertainment is an actor agency that manages various well-known actresses and actors in the South Korean entertainment industry. Some of the names include Byeon Woo Seok, Lee Soo Kyung, Lee You Mi, Lee Chae Min, Lee Hong Nae, Jin Goo, and others.
Actress Gong Seung Yeon, who is the older sister of Jeongyeon, also joined the agency in 2020.
