National Internship Program Batch 4 Opened, Targeting 150 Thousand Fresh Graduates

JAKARTA - The government has reopened the National Internship Program (PMN) Batch 4 starting July 2026. This program, which is intended for new college graduates, is targeted to reach up to 150,000 participants throughout 2026 through three implementation waves.

Acting Deputy for Partnerships and Media Relations of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom) RI Kurnia Ramadhana said that in the first wave which will start in July, the government targets around 50,000 participants.

"The National Internship Program Batch 4 will be implemented gradually starting July 2026, with an initial plan of around 50,000 participants in the first wave, then continued in the second and third waves until a total of 150,000 participants by the end of the year," said Kurnia in a press conference, Wednesday, June 24.

This program has received broad support from various sectors. Overall, there are 8,056 organizing partners consisting of 5,168 private companies and 2,888 work units of ministries and government agencies. Kurnia explained that throughout the implementation of this program, the number of partner companies increased in each batch.

"Of all the partners, there are 874 state-owned enterprises who participate as organizing partners," he added.

If viewed from the mapping of industries, the state-owned banking sector or BUMN is the largest contributor by providing 1,033 internship programs. The next position is followed by the private hospital sector (191 programs), management consulting (168 programs), food and beverage trade (167 programs), and property and asset management industries (151 programs).

Kurnia explained that the registration process begins with companies and partner agencies that open internship vacancies and submit the available position needs. After that, prospective participants can apply through the MagangHub platform by choosing a maximum of two positions that match their interests and areas of expertise.

"Candidates register through the MagangHub platform at maganghub.kemnaker.go.id, by choosing a maximum of two internship positions according to their interests and areas of expertise," he said.

After the registration process, the company will conduct a selection and announce the results of the recruitment through the same platform. Participants who pass then sign a Apprenticeship Agreement and undergo an internship for six months.

During the six-month internship period, participants will receive a number of benefits, including a monthly allowance equivalent to UMP/UMK, social security, and an official internship certificate. Not only that, participants also have a great opportunity to be directly absorbed as permanent employees at the company where they are interns.

During the program, participants are required to fill out daily reports through the monitoring and evaluation system available at the link monev.maganghub.kemnaker.go.id and validated by their respective mentors.
