Bali Becomes the Epicenter of Southeast Asian Music, Ndarboy Genk to Noni Ready to Shake AXEAN Festival 2026

JAKARTA - The largest music conference and showcase platform in Southeast Asia, AXEAN Festival, is preparing to greet music lovers again. This festival again chose the Island of the Gods as the venue and place to meet music industry players from various parts of the world.

The organizers confirmed that the AXEAN Festival 2026 will take place for two days at Jimbaran Hub, Badung, Bali, on August 29 and 30.

AXEAN Festival has also released the first wave lineup list dominated by local talents. This step emphasizes Indonesia's position as one of the main highlights in the regional music scene.

A series of cross-genre names from the country are confirmed to take the stage, ranging from Ndarboy Genk, Basajan, LOR, Babon, One Per Four. Not to mention, Jo Soegono, Emptyyy, and Noni are also ready to showcase their best works in front of a global audience.

Satria Ramadhan as co-founder and Head of Operations of AXEAN Festival said, this event can be an event for local musicians to expand their relationships with global music industry players.

Piyapong Muenprasertdee as one of the founders (co-founder) of AXEAN Festival said that the curation process this year prioritizes the artistic vision while providing a stage for the music ecosystem that has not been highlighted.

"We are looking for musicians who have professionalism, strong live performance quality, and a clear artistic vision. At the same time, we also want to present talents from various music scenes that may not be widely known to the world," said Piyapong in his statement, Wednesday, June 24.

He added, the opportunity to perform on an international scale is expected to be a significant stepping stone for the musicians' careers. "Hopefully, their experience at AXEAN can pave the way and inspire the next generation in their home country," he added.

In line with Piyapong, another co-founder, David Siow, expressed similar optimism. According to him, the list of musicians who will perform this year is filled with potential names ready to penetrate the international market.

"We choose artists who have amazing live performances and are ready to step onto the global stage. Visitors will find musicians who are about to explode, musicians who are able to provide an unforgettable performance experience, to the names whose career journeys are worth following," said David.

The appeal of this festival is sure to get stronger with the presence of foreign musicians. Neighboring countries in Southeast Asia also send their best representation, such as MASDO, Pitahati, and the collaboration of Lil Asian Thiccie x dj magn3sium from Malaysia.

Then the Philippines sent PLAYERTWO, ALYSON, and Novocrane. Meanwhile, Singapore relies on Subsonic Eye and sub:shaman, followed by the Thai delegation which is strengthened by Yellow Fang, INSPIRATIVE, SLOWWVES, and Cupnoodle.

Expanding its reach beyond Southeast Asia, this year's festival stage will also be enlivened by the performance of Scamper representing Macau, as well as Treaks who have come a long way from France.

In addition to the music party on stage, this event also presents flagship programs such as the Songwriting Camp. This program is specifically designed as a creative space that emphasizes cross-country collaboration rather than competition - taking advantage of the atmosphere of Bali to produce new works.

For music lovers who want to attend, the promoter has officially opened ticket sales. For the early bird category, daily tickets are priced at IDR 75,000, while tickets for two full days are sold for IDR 150,000.
