New Face of GBK Ready to Be Worked On, What Will Ex-Hotel Sultan Land Be?

Jakarta - Danantara is said to be drafting a master plan for the development of the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, including changing the former Sultan Hotel land.

Currently, the process of emptying assets in the former Sultan Hotel building is still ongoing. This was conveyed by Deputy Minister of State Secretary (Wamensesneg) Juri Ardiantoro at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 24.

In accordance with President Prabowo's instructions, Juri said, the assets must be managed as well as possible and provide greater benefits to the community. Juri has not explained whether the area will be a city forest or other functions.

He also has not answered whether the building will be demolished partially or entirely. According to Juri, the government will only convey an official plan after the design from Danantara is completed.
