KPU Is Ready To File A Lawsuit Against Denny Indrayana Who Lost In The South Kalimantan Gubernatorial Election
BANJARMASIN - Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) Ilham Saputra said his party was ready to face a lawsuit up to the Constitutional Court (MK). The plan is that cagub Denny Indrayana will sue for his defeat to Sahbirin Noor (Uncle Birin) in the re-voting for the South Kalimantan governor election based on the KPU's real count.
"Whatever (the lawsuit), the KPU is ready, the KPU will convey to the Constitutional Court (MK) that what we have implemented is in accordance with applicable regulations," Ilham said in Banjarmasin, Thursday, June 10.
According to him, the implementation of the PSU for the South Kalimantan gubernatorial election after the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which was held on June 9 in seven sub-districts in three districts/cities has gone well.
"Maybe there are findings such as information that witnesses are not allowed to enter (TPS), but we check that the news has not been confirmed, we will check it again, later also coordinate with Bawaslu," he said.
But according to Ilham, the PSU for the 2020 South Kalimantan gubernatorial election which was held at 827 polling stations (TPS) went smoothly.
"There are no significant things that interfere with the implementation of the PSU itself," said Ilham.
For voter participation in the PSU for the South Kalimantan gubernatorial election, Ilham Saputra has not received a detailed report, so he cannot make a statement earlier, because the official recapitulation has not yet been determined.
"This is the PSU, not the actual election which was held on December 9, 2020," he said.
Of course, said Ilham Saputra, many factors affect voter participation, either because they are bored, there is no campaign and so on until they are busy working.
The PSU for the 2020 South Kalimantan gubernatorial election was held on June 9, 2021 in seven sub-districts, namely, five sub-districts in Banjar Regency, namely, Aluh-Aluh, Connect Makmur, Martapura, Astambul and Matraman sub-districts.
In addition, there are 24 polling stations (TPS) in Binuang District, Tapin Regency. Furthermore, all TPS in South Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City.
From the temporary count of the South Kalimantan KPU recapitulation information system (Sirekap) to the data update 10/6/2021 at 10.59 WITA, for the results of the 2020 South Kalimantan governor election PSU at 817 polling stations out of a total of 827 polling stations, candidate pair 01, H Sahbirin Noor and H Muhidin ( BirinMU) has a 68 percent lead.
Meanwhile, his rival candidate pair number 02, Prof H Denny Indrayana and H Difriadi Derajat only won 32.2 percent.
From this provisional result, the candidate pair Denny Indrayana-Difriadi Darjat stated that he opened the option of suing the results of the 2020 South Kalimantan Governor Election PSU votes to the Constitutional Court.
"After discussing and exchanging ideas with coalition parties, volunteers, and legal counsel, we chose the option to file a lawsuit on the results of the PSU to the Constitutional Court," said Denny accompanied by Difriadi at a press conference in Banjarbaru, Wednesday.
