KPK is considering to pick up Fitri Assiddikki, former staff of Heri Gunawan

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) opened the opportunity to forcibly pick up Fitri Assiddikki who is a model and former expert staff of member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Heri Gunawan.

This possibility is open after he did not fulfill the call as a witness to the alleged corruption of Bank Indonesia (BI) and Financial Services Authority (OJK) corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds.

Fitri should have met the call of investigators at the KPK Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 23. This is the second call because he was not present earlier.

"Later, the investigators will consider what the next step will be, whether to coordinate for the next scheduling or there will be an effort to bring it by issuing a warrant to bring the person concerned," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted on Wednesday, June 24.

Budi said Fitri's statement was needed to strengthen evidence in the case being investigated. In addition, investigators are still tracing the flow of funds allegedly originating from corruption.

"It is the flow of money that is then continued to be traced, continued to be tracked wherever the money from the alleged corruption crime flows," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK officially announced that the NasDem Party Faction DPR legislator Satori and Heri Gunawan as DPR legislators of the Gerindra Party Faction as suspects of alleged corruption of BI-OJK CSR funds. Both are suspected of receiving gratification and committing money laundering (TPPU) but no arrests have been made.

Satori allegedly received a total of IDR 12.52 billion in this case. The details are IDR 6.30 billion from BI; IDR 5.14 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and IDR 1.04 billion from other partners of Commission XI of the DPR.

The money is suspected to have been used for personal needs, such as deposits, land purchases, showroom construction, purchase of two-wheeled vehicles, and the purchase of other assets.

Meanwhile, Heri Gunawan received a total of Rp. 15.86 billion and used it for personal interests. The details are Rp. 6.26 billion from BI; Rp. 7.64 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and Rp. 1.94 billion from other working partners of Commission XI of the DPR.

The money was said by the KPK to be deposited in an account. Heri Gunawan then used it to build a restaurant, manage a beverage outlet, buy land and buildings, and four-wheel vehicles.
