Accelerating the Production of its Own Military Equipment, Israel Puts "Horses" of the Future War
JAKARTA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country must develop its own defense industry and reduce its dependence on foreign arms supplies.
However, Netanyahu praised the support of military equipment from the United States (US) to Israel so far.
"I really appreciate the support we have received, and which I have also given for many years, from our American friends," Netanyahu said at a joint event with Israeli reserve combat officers in Kibbutz Migdal Oz, Gush Etzion, Tuesday, June 23, quoted by AN.
Netanyahu emphasized that the future of Israel's military victory and security depends on the development of domestic defense capabilities.
"But today I say: We need our own independent network of armaments. We have to produce our own armaments," he continued.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met on Thursday, at Kibbutz Migdal Oz in Gush Etzion, with a reserve combat officers' course, and spoke with them about the various challenges in multiple arenas:

Furthermore, Netanyahu, whose government is said to be the US's main target in attacking Iran, said his country is still not free from the threat of an attack by the Islamic Republic.
He also acknowledged that the threat from Iran, which asked Israel to turn back from Palestinian and Lebanese land, had not yet subsided.
Thus, Netanyahu emphasized the need to expand domestic production of military equipment, integrate technology, and train a generation of Israeli commanders for the future.
"Where we will be 30 years from now depends on our strength," he said.
Israel's efforts to strengthen domestic production of military equipment independently without foreign assistance in order to be able to carry out its military policies are in the midst of progress in the US-Iran peace agreement mediated by Pakistan in Switzerland.
