President Inaugurates 1,151 Km of Regional Roads, Reaching 37 Provinces

SAMPANG - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated 1,151 kilometers of regional roads built through Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 11 of 2025. The project worth Rp. 5.41 trillion is spread across 37 provinces and has been completed 100 percent.

Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo said the construction of the road was aimed at strengthening the connectivity of the food, energy, and water production areas with markets and community service centers.

"All the work has been completed and is ready to be used by the community," said Dody at the inauguration in Sampang Regency, East Java, Tuesday (23/6).

According to Dody, almost all provinces have submitted the program. Only DKI Jakarta did not submit a proposal for construction through the Regional Road Inpres scheme.

The roads built include connecting production areas to markets, regional roads to national roads, and access to settlements and public service centers.

The government considers road connectivity to be one of the keys to facilitating the distribution of goods and reducing logistics costs.

Dody said that the construction of regional roads is part of efforts to support the self-sufficiency targets for food, energy, and water, which are one of the main agendas of the Prabowo government.

He emphasized that infrastructure development is no longer concentrated in certain areas, but has been expanded to areas that have long needed better access.

"The economy grows from the village. Therefore, connectivity must be present to the region," he said.

The 2025 Regional Road Inpres Program is one of the largest infrastructure projects that directly touches interregional production connectivity in the region.
