37 Provinces Can Get Regional Road Presidential Decree, Only DKI Jakarta Does Not Submit a Proposal
SAMPANG - The 2025 Regional Road Inpres program reaches almost all of Indonesia. Of the 38 existing provinces, 37 provinces have received road development through the program. Only DKI Jakarta did not submit a proposal.
This fact was conveyed by Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo when reporting the implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 11 of 2025 to President Prabowo Subianto in the inauguration of regional roads in Sampang Regency, East Java, Tuesday (23/6).
According to Dody, the construction of regional roads that will be completed in 2025 reaches 1,151 kilometers with a state budget investment value of Rp. 5.41 trillion.
"The one who did not apply was only DKI," said Dody in front of President Prabowo.
The program is part of the government's efforts to accelerate regional road connectivity to support food, energy, and water self-sufficiency.
The roads handled include access connecting production areas with markets, regional roads to national roads, and access to settlements and community service centers.
Dody said all the work had been completed 100 percent and was ready to be used by the community.
According to Dody, road connectivity is an important part of the national logistics system. Therefore, development is not only focused on national roads, but also reaches regional roads that become distribution routes for community production.
The government hopes that the food supply chain can run more smoothly from upstream to downstream through the improvement of road access.
One of the sections inaugurated by President Prabowo is in Sampang Regency, namely the Gedundung-Beringin Kuning section along 1.5 kilometers with a width of seven meters and a work value of around Rp. 14 billion.
Dody explained that the width of the road followed the President's direction that the roads built in the area could be passed by two vehicles safely.
Previously, a number of local roads built through a similar program in 2023 only had a width of around three to four meters so that vehicles often had difficulty when crossing.
According to Dody, the wider road makes the logistics flow and people's mobility more smooth. Travel time is also reduced by almost twice as efficient as before.
He assessed that the achievement of regional road development in 37 provinces showed that efforts to equalize infrastructure continued to be expanded to the regions.
"The economy grows from the village," said Dody quoting President Prabowo's instructions.
Through the 2025 Regional Road Presidential Decree, the government hopes that better connectivity can strengthen regional economic growth while facilitating the distribution of community production results to various consumption centers.
