West Java Provincial Government Covers Medical Treatment Costs for Female Victims of Kidnapping in Bandung
BANDUNG - The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) has taken over all the costs of treatment and medical care for a woman who was a victim of her boyfriend's abuse who is now being treated intensively at the Dr. Hasan Sadikin Central General Hospital (RSHS) Bandung.
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi emphasized that the family no longer needs to worry about medical administration and health insurance, because all accommodations are covered directly until they recover completely.
"I will bear all the costs until it is completed. So there is no need to look for BPJS or anywhere else, including no need for donations. The West Java Provincial Government is responsible for its citizens," said Governor Dedi Mulyadi after visiting the victim at the Bandung RSHS, Monday, June 22, reported by ANTARA.
In addition to the cost of medical treatment at the hospital, the West Java Provincial Government has also provided logistical assistance for families who accompany the victims during the treatment period. This step was taken so that families could focus on the recovery process without being burdened by household domestic affairs.
Regarding the legal aspect, Governor Dedi stated that he had coordinated intensively with the West Java Regional Police (Polda) to thoroughly investigate this case of persecution.
His party is optimistic that the police can immediately arrest the perpetrators in the near future.
"I have communicated with the Polda ranks. I believe that the perpetrator will be caught soon," he said.
Reflecting on this incident, the West Java Governor also gave a stern warning to all communities, especially women in the province, to increase vigilance to anticipate similar incidents.
He reminded the importance of the aspects of supervision and protection from the closest family when they are out of the house and it is important to be honest with the main family, parents.
"Be careful, be alert. If you go with a man, be accompanied by your family," said KDM.
