Gandeng Bebi Romeo, Duo Antonia Debut lewat EP Suara Hati

JAKARTA - The Indonesian music industry has welcomed a new talent, Duo Antonia, who introduced themselves by releasing their first mini album or extended play (EP) titled "Suara Hati".

The Antonia Duo is driven by Dona Antonia, a cancer survivor who now acts as the group's founder and songwriter.

The experience of fighting against a deadly disease completely changed Dona's outlook on the rest of his life and his dreams. For him, music is no longer just a hobby to fill his free time, but a space for contemplation to survive and start a new page.

"After going through everything, I realized that life can change at any time. Music finally became the place where I came home," said Dona at the EP debut release event, Sunday, June 21.

To bring to life the lines of lyrics he wrote, Dona teamed up with Eriska Millen or who is familiarly called Millen, as the lead vocal. Millen's soft but powerful voice is considered capable of conveying the emotional message of each song in its entirety.

As a debut marker, the EP "Suara Hati" which contains six tracks is available on various music streaming platforms. This mini album summarizes the portrait of life, heart outpourings, and the dynamics of romantic relationships that women often experience.

During the production process, the Antonia Duo also received a cold touch from Bebi Romeo, who was directly involved in arranging the main song (focus track) titled "Bukan Denganku", which tells about the tenacity of a woman who refuses to be played with and chooses to get out of a toxic relationship.

In addition, Bebi Romeo also produced "Saat Kau Pergi", a 4 minute 34 second track with a dramatic arrangement that was taken from a real story about regret after losing a loved one.

Not only that, this EP also includes "Asalkan Ku Bisa" which portrays the surrender of women due to infidelity, as well as "Biarkanlah Aku Pergi" which tells the dilemma of being trapped in a love triangle.

Through this series of works, Dona hopes that the Antonia Duo will not only provide entertainment, but also become a medium to empower other women.

"For me, this is not just a musical work. 'Suara Hati' is a symbol of a woman's courage to finally listen to her own heart, choose to step forward, work, and live through music," concluded Dona.
