Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro Rumored to Bring Anti-Spy Features on the Screen
JAKARTA - The Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro has started to be widely discussed even though its launch is still far away. The phone, which is expected to be launched in early 2027, is said to bring a Privacy Display, a feature that helps the screen content not be easily seen by people around the user.
According to a report from GSMArena, quoted on Monday, June 22, Samsung is preparing a Galaxy S27 line with one new model called the Galaxy S27 Pro. This phone is said to use a 6.47-inch screen.
The latest leak comes from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, as quoted by GSMArena. He claims Samsung is testing a hardware-based Privacy Display feature for the Galaxy S27 Pro.
Hardware-based means that the feature works through the screen components, not just an additional application. That way, privacy protection can be made more integrated with the design of the phone.
This feature is interesting because it is currently said to be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The phone became the first Samsung device to introduce Privacy Display.
Simply put, Privacy Display is designed to help disguise the content on the screen from the view of others. Features like this are useful when users open messages, photos, documents, or applications in public places.
In trains, cafes, elevators, or waiting rooms, screen privacy sometimes feels more important than just the bigger camera numbers.
However, all of this information is still in the rumor status. Samsung has not officially announced the Galaxy S27 Pro or the feature.
Another rumor says the Galaxy S27 Pro will carry a 5,000 mAh battery. This phone is also said to use three rear cameras that are similar to the Galaxy S27 Ultra, although the phone's sensors are likely to be different.
If the leak is true, the Galaxy S27 Pro could be an interesting midrange model. It's not entirely an Ultra, but it brings some premium features that are usually reserved for the highest variant.
This strategy makes sense. Many users want top-notch features, but don't necessarily need the biggest body, the highest price, or all the most expensive camera capabilities.
For now, the Galaxy S27 Pro is still in the leaked area. Samsung has not given official confirmation regarding the model or features.
