After Apologizing, PLN Announces Good News
Jakarta - The President Director (Dirut) of PT. PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo again expressed his apology for the rotational power outages in a number of areas. This was conveyed at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, June 22 before meeting President Prabowo Subianto.
In addition, Darmawan also delivered good news. The condition of the electricity system is beginning to improve so that the alternating blackout that occurred throughout last week was successfully suppressed. According to Darmawan, the supply of primary energy that meets the needs of the plant is now flowing again and helping to strengthen the electricity system in Java.
The power outage was a concern because it occurred when the electricity needs of the community and the business sector remained high. This condition raises questions about the resilience of electricity supply in areas with the largest energy consumption in Indonesia.
Darmawan ensured that PLN is currently continuing to monitor 24 hours a day to maintain system reliability. This effort is carried out together with primary energy suppliers and private power generation companies or independent power producers (IPP).
PLN hopes that this improving condition can continue to be maintained so that electricity supply is stable again and similar disruptions do not recur.
