Commission III of the DPR urges the police to immediately arrest the perpetrators of the abduction of a woman in Bandung: A web of layered articles!

Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives, Abdullah, urged the police to immediately arrest and prosecute the man suspected of being involved in the case of kidnapping, abduction, and torture of a woman in Bandung, West Java.

According to Abdullah, if all the allegations revealed during this process are proven in the legal process, the perpetrator with the initials TH (30) must be charged with layered articles considering the severity of the suffering experienced by the victim.

"TH must be charged with layered articles ranging from kidnapping, severe persecution, to other criminal acts proven in the investigation process. Law enforcement must be carried out to the maximum extent to provide justice for victims and deterrence for perpetrators," Abdullah told reporters, Monday, June 22.

"We hope the perpetrator will be arrested immediately to account for his actions. What the perpetrator did was very inhumane," he continued.

Abdullah also asked law enforcement officers to investigate this case thoroughly because after this case went viral, many confessions from a number of women who claimed to have also been victims of the perpetrator's actions emerged.

"We must find out how many victims there are, including the forms of crimes committed by the perpetrators," said the PKB legislator from the Central Java District.

As is known, the case of kidnapping and persecution against a woman from Rancaekek, Bandung Regency, West Java, has shaken the public because it was revealed that the perpetrator had carried out his actions against the woman with the initials YTR for 3 years.

Based on information circulating, the case began when YTR got acquainted with TH while watching a concert in 2023. After the introduction, YTR did not return home and was increasingly difficult to contact by his family.

When the family managed to contact the victim by phone, the response given often changed drastically and tended to show rejection of communication with the family.

After the victim was found, it was suspected that YTR had been abducted by moving from one place to another in a certain period of time. The perpetrator is currently on the run because he managed to escape when the police were about to raid his hiding place. The police are still pursuing YTR.

Meanwhile, the victim YTR is suspected of having experienced various forms of violence that resulted in serious head injuries, severe vision impairment, injuries to the body due to sharp objects, burn scars, and damage to the lips.

The victim is currently undergoing intensive care at the Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) Bandung due to a number of serious injuries. In fact, the victim's right eye had to undergo surgery due to a severe infection.
