Honeymoon in Italy, El Rumi Became a Photographer for Foreign Tourists

JAKARTA - El Rumi and Syifa Hadju's honeymoon in Italy left a funny story. Instead of just being busy taking romantic photos with each other, El actually became an impromptu photographer for a foreign tourist (bule) he met there.

This incident began when El and Syifa were looking for a good location to capture their moments. "Yes, it just so happens that we are looking for a spot," recalled El Rumi in the South Jakarta area, not long ago.

While enjoying finding the right angle for the photo, suddenly a tourist approached him. Instead of recognizing El as an artist, the foreigner asked El for help to take a picture.

"There are foreigners who want to be photographed, yes we help with the photo," said El.

The incident became a sweet seasoning in the middle of their romantic journey. El admitted that he did not mind having to help a stranger even though he was on a personal vacation.

"Yes, thank God it went smoothly. We went to several cities and yes, happy," he explained.

It was moments like these that made El and Syifa feel that their trip this time was very colorful. Italy left a deep impression on the two of them.

"Because what? The city is just memorable," he added again referring to the atmosphere in the cities they visited.

For El, the simple experience of helping others in a foreign country becomes part of a beautiful memory that is hard to erase.

"Yes, the honeymoon period is not memorable," concluded El Rumi.
