Bekasi and Depok are hot, today's Jabodetabek temperature reaches 33 degrees Celsius
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) regions on Sunday, June 21, will be dominated by sunny to cloudy conditions with air temperatures ranging from 21 to 33 degrees Celsius.
The relatively friendly weather is expected to support community activities during the weekend, although some areas still have the potential to experience increased cloud cover in the afternoon.
In the DKI Jakarta area, the weather is predicted to be sunny from morning to afternoon. The air temperature ranges from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius with an air humidity level of 50-90 percent. Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta are expected to enjoy weather that is quite conducive for various outdoor activities.
Meanwhile, the Bogor area is predicted to be cloudy to cloudy with an air temperature between 21 to 31 degrees Celsius. The Puncak area and its surroundings are expected to feel cooler than other areas in Jabodetabek, especially in the morning and evening.
In Depok City, the weather is predicted to be sunny with a temperature ranging from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius. Similar conditions are also expected in Tangerang which has an air temperature between 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, Bekasi has the potential to become the region with the highest temperature in Jabodetabek, reaching 33 degrees Celsius during the day.
BMKG urges the public to maintain adequate body fluids when carrying out activities outdoors, especially during the day when the air temperature is above 30 degrees Celsius. The use of protection from direct sunlight such as hats, umbrellas, or sunscreen is also recommended.
In general, the weather conditions in Jabodetabek on Sunday are expected to be conducive for tourism, sports, and family travel activities.
