SIG Garap Opportunities for Urban Renovation and Housing through MiniMix Concrete Services
JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) is targeting growth opportunities for the construction and renovation of houses in dense residential areas through the MiniMix service, a mini-sized ready-mixed concrete solution designed to reach areas with limited road access that cannot be passed by conventional mixer trucks. This innovation opens up a new market for ready-mixed concrete in the retail segment to meet the needs of construction and renovation of residential or property in urban areas.
Through the PT Solusi Bangun Beton business unit, SIG sees the potential for the ready-mixed concrete market to continue to increase in line with the growth of urban buffer areas, the need for new housing, to the proliferation of renovations and development of existing properties. Consumer trends that increasingly prioritize efficiency of workmanship, practicality, and certainty of quality also encourage an increase in demand for small and medium-scale ready-mixed concrete services.
SIG Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni said that the challenges of development in densely populated residential areas actually open up new business opportunities that are potentially for companies to present more adaptive and efficient construction solutions.

MiniMix is a small-sized concrete delivery truck fleet service operated by PT Solusi Bangun Beton. With a width of 2.2 meters, a height of 3.2 meters, and a length of 6.4 meters, this fleet is designed to be able to access narrow roads and densely populated areas that cannot be passed by conventional mixer trucks. In addition to being flexible in access, the MiniMix service also allows ordering concrete volumes according to project needs so that it is more efficient for communities, contractors, and small and medium-scale property developers.
To expand market penetration, SIG continues to increase the capacity and reach of the MiniMix service. Currently, PT Solusi Bangun Beton operates 42 MiniMix fleets serving the Jakarta, Bandung, Cianjur, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and surrounding areas. This operation is supported by 30 batching plants spread across Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, and East Java.
Vita Mahreyni added that the combination of product quality, service reliability, and an extensive operational network is an important capital for SIG to strengthen its position in the national ready-mixed concrete business.
