Bareskrim Detains Suspects in the FH Case of PT Dana Syariah Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Economic and Special Crimes (Dittipideksus) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police detained suspect FH for the next 20 days related to the investigation of alleged criminal acts of distributing problematic funding by PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (PT DSI), which is suspected of harming the victims.

Director of Economic and Special Criminal Affairs of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Brigjen Ade Safri Simanjuntak, said FH was a new suspect as a result of the development of the investigation after the investigators had previously named four other suspects, namely TA, MY, ARL, and AS.

"Furthermore, after the examination of the suspect FH, the suspect FH was then forcibly detained at the Bareskrim Polri Detention Center for the next 20 days, starting from June 19 to July 8, 2026, for the purposes of investigation," said Ade Safri as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 20.

FH is known to have served as the founder and advisor of PT DSI. He has also held a number of strategic positions, including as former Director of Operations and Information Systems of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) period 2014-2017, Director of the Digital Financial Innovation Group of the OJK period 2017-2018, and Director of Information Technology and Risk Management of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2018-2022.

Ade Safri explained that the determination of FH as a suspect was based on the facts of the investigation supported by five valid evidence. The investigator then summoned FH as a suspect on Friday (19/6) to undergo an examination.

"The examination of the suspect FH began at 11.00 WIB and ended at around 21.00 WIB, where in the examination of the suspect FH accompanied by his lawyer, the investigators asked 79 questions," he said.

In this case, PT DSI is suspected of distributing public funding using a fictitious project by utilizing existing borrower data or information in the period 2018 to 2025. Investigators have applied a number of articles related to embezzlement, fraud, criminal acts in the financial services sector, criminal acts through electronic media, and criminal acts of money laundering.

The Criminal Investigation Unit stated that it would continue to optimize asset tracking in cooperation with the Financial Transaction Reporting and Analysis Center (PPATK), OJK, Korlantas Polri, the National Land Agency (BPN), and other related agencies to support the recovery of victims' losses.

"Investigators will also continue to coordinate effectively with the JPU and LPSK regarding the restitution application process submitted by the victims of the PT DSI case to the LPSK and facilitate the victims so that their rights can be fulfilled and accommodated through the restitution mechanism," said Ade Safri.

He added that the case files of the three suspects, namely TA, MY, and ARL, had been declared complete (P21) and handed over to the public prosecutor on June 9, 2026. Meanwhile, the closure of the case of the suspects AS, FH, and the corporate suspects is still running simultaneously through coordination with the Attorney General's Office.
