Six members of the Thai border patrol police were injured, two of whom were in critical condition, in a roadside bomb attack and a shooting incident against a teacher protection unit in Yala, southern Thailand, Friday, June 19.
Citing Antara, the attack occurred in Thanto Regency when officers were on a routine patrol. Local authorities said the attackers activated improvised explosive devices before firing at the patrol team from bushes on the side of the road.
