KPK Claims Rp1.38 Trillion Budget in 2025 Contributes to Saving State Finances and Increasing PNBP
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that the proposed additional budget for 2027 is compiled based on the actual needs of the organization to carry out the mandate to eradicate corruption. The compilation is carried out with clear targets, indicators, and evaluation mechanisms so that it can be held accountable.
"Every budget requirement that is proposed is not prepared based on the desire to increase the agency's spending, but based on the real needs of the organization in carrying out the mandate to eradicate corruption," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo through a written statement quoted on Saturday, June 19.
Budi ensured that the KPK had implemented budget governance integration from the planning, budgeting, program implementation, performance measurement to accountability stages in one performance management cycle.
Through this mechanism, every program financed by the State Budget is directed to strengthen efforts to prevent, educate, take action, coordinate, supervise, and monitor the eradication of corruption.
The KPK also revealed the absorption rate of the budget in the last three years which was claimed to be consistently above 98 percent. In 2023, the budget realization reached 99.23 percent or around Rp. 1.3 trillion, then 98.53 percent in 2024 worth Rp. 1.35 trillion, and 98.98 percent in 2025 with a value of Rp. 1.38 trillion.
In addition to absorbing the budget, the KPK claims that its performance contributes to the rescue of state finances. In 2023, the value of state financial rescue is said to reach IDR 114.8 trillion; IDR 68.1 trillion in 2024 and IDR 1.53 trillion in 2025.
Contributions to non-tax state revenues (PNBP) are also said to have increased. The KPK recorded PNBP of IDR 398.7 billion in 2023, rising to IDR 475.2 billion in 2024, and again increasing to IDR 549 billion in 2025.
One of the largest contributors to the PNBP last year came from the auction of state confiscated goods resulting from corruption cases, which generated a receipt of Rp. 109 billion. This value is said to be the highest achievement in the last five years.
"This achievement shows that the budget provided by the state can be optimally utilized to support the implementation of prevention, education, enforcement, coordination, supervision, monitoring, and management of confiscated goods and assets from corruption crimes," said Budi.
In terms of financial governance, the KPK also highlighted the achievement of a WTP opinion from the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) which has been maintained for six consecutive years since 2019 to 2024.
According to Budi, this achievement is an indicator that the financial management at the KPK is carried out in an accountable, transparent, and in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.
Therefore, the KPK ensures that any additional budget that will be approved will be managed with the same governance standards and accompanied by continuous supervision, monitoring, and evaluation.
"For the KPK, the WTP opinion is not merely an administrative achievement, but a form of accountability to the public that the institution entrusted with eradicating corruption also applies the principles of integrity and accountability in managing state finances," concluded Budi.
