Make HR as a Catalyst for Performance Growth, SIG Wins Three Indonesia HR Excellence 2026 Awards

JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk's (SIG) commitment to building superior, adaptive, and performance-oriented human resources (HR) has again received national recognition. At the Indonesia HR Excellence 2026 event, SIG won three awards at once with the title of Excellent, the highest title in the event, for the Learning & Development (L&D), HR Digitalization & People Analytics, and Wellbeing Management categories.

The award was presented by the Indonesian Jury Council for HR Excellence 2026, Priyantono Rudito, to the Director of Human Capital SIG, Hadi Setiadi, during the Indonesia HR Excellence Conference and Awarding 2026 event organized by SWA Media Group together with the Management Institute of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (LM FEB UI) at the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta on Wednesday, June 10.

Indonesia HR Excellence provides appreciation for the performance of HR management in cross-industry companies. The assessment is carried out by leading professionals and academics through various parameters, ranging from innovation, alignment with business strategies, to a real impact on company performance.

Director of Human Capital SIG, Hadi Setiadi, said that in the midst of increasingly complex industry dynamics, human capital quality is a determinant of a company's competitiveness. Therefore, SIG places the development of human capital as an integral part of the business strategy to ensure that the company is able to adapt, innovate, and grow sustainably.

"SIG considers human capital not only as a supporting function, but also an enabler for company performance growth. Through the Human Capital Architecture, we focus on accelerating the mastery of critical capabilities that support operational excellence, digital and commercial agility, as well as cost transformation. This award motivates us to continue to present HR management practices that provide added value for the business," said Hadi Setiadi, in a written statement, Friday, June 19.

The transformation of human resources management at SIG is strengthened through the development of the Strategic Human Capital Information System (HCIS) Framework and People Analytics which integrates human capital strategies with data-based decision-making. The system is supported by the People Analytics platform and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology which allows the decision-making process to take place faster, more accurate, and relevant to business needs.

As part of this transformation, SIG launched the Elevate digital platform in early 2026. This platform, which was developed entirely internally, is designed to manage the performance and employee development cycle from upstream to downstream, ranging from setting KPIs, monitoring achievements, performance evaluations, to learning and talent development planning.

Digitalization of HR management is also strengthened through a dashboard that allows companies to monitor, analyze, identify, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of cost management, as well as generate more targeted policy recommendations.

In terms of talent development, SIG implements an approach that ensures that every learning and development program directly supports the mastery of critical competencies needed by businesses.

In addition to focusing on competence development, SIG also continues to strengthen the culture of innovation in the company environment. Through various innovation programs and competitions, SIG encourages the birth of creative solutions that have a real impact on improving performance. These efforts have succeeded in increasing the number of innovations by 23 percent to 1,243 innovations in 2025, with employee participation reaching 9,376 people or an increase of 3 percent compared to the previous year.

"We believe that a healthy, safe, and comfortable work environment is the foundation for sustainable productivity, engagement, and performance. Therefore, SIG will continue to strengthen the capabilities and productivity of human resources as the main driver of company growth," concluded Hadi Setiadi.
