Laba Pupuk Indonesia Melonjak 230 Persen, Dony Oskaria Minta Transformasi Terus Dijaga

JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC) recorded positive financial performance until May 2026. The company's net profit jumped 230 percent year-on-year to IDR 6.70 trillion.

Along with these achievements, the Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Management Agency (BP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara Dony Oskaria asked that the transformation carried out by the company continue to be maintained.

Based on year-to-date (YTD) achievements, Pupuk Indonesia Group recorded revenue of IDR 47.71 trillion or grew 49 percent compared to the same period last year. The increasingly strong operational performance also drove EBITDA up 132 percent to IDR 11.36 trillion.

On June 19, 2026, Dony held a meeting with the President Director of PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company to discuss the company's business development and a number of strategic issues affecting the national fertilizer industry.

In the meeting, the discussion focused on the dynamics of the fertilizer business and market, risk management due to fluctuations in commodity prices (marked-to-market), anticipation of changes in the subsidy scheme, to strengthening the governance of subsidized fertilizer distribution so that it is more targeted.

According to Dony, these various steps are important to maintain the sustainability of the company's performance while ensuring the support of the fertilizer sector for agricultural productivity and national food security.

He assessed that the business transformation carried out by Pupuk Indonesia was on the right track. However, the company needs to maintain consistency in order to be able to face changes in market conditions and government policies.

"The transformation has begun to show results. In the future, what needs to be maintained is consistency, while still being ready to face market and policy changes," said Dony in an official statement, Friday, June 19.

BP BUMN and Danantara also continue to encourage Pupuk Indonesia to strengthen competitiveness through sustainable transformation, more adaptive risk management, and better fertilizer distribution governance.

With this step, continued Dony, Pupuk Indonesia is expected to be able to continue to improve business performance while strengthening its contribution in supporting national food security in a sustainable manner.
