Trisakti Students Stand in Front of the DPR Building

JAKARTA - The student alliance from the Trisakti University Student Presidency is still standing in front of the DPR/MPR building to express their opinions.

Reported by ANTARA, as of 18.32 WIB, a number of students were still giving speeches.

The atmosphere of the action was also observed to be orderly. A number of police officers were also still on duty around the DPR/MPR building area.

The road in front of the DPR/MPR building, namely Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto, was still closed by the police to prevent traffic congestion.

A total of 4,263 joint personnel were on alert to secure the rally in five points in Central Jakarta (Jakpus).

"The service for the rally in Central Jakarta is 4,263 joint personnel (Polda, Polres, Polsek)," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri in Jakarta, Friday.

Erlyn said thousands of joint personnel from the Polda Metro Jaya, Central Jakarta Metro Police, and sub-districts were on alert to escort the demonstration so that it could take place safely and orderly.

The mass is scheduled to take to the streets at five points, namely Silang Selatan Monas, DPR/MPR, Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI), Tugu Tani, and the Ministry of Finance.
