Less than 12 Hours, the Rapid Response Unit of the Pelalawan Police Criminal Investigation Unit Rounds the Sadistic Robber who Stabbed the Cashier Dozens of Times     

PELALAWAN - The Rapid Response Unit (URC) of the Pelalawan Police Criminal Investigation Unit has uncovered a case of violent theft (curas) that occurred at the TBS SPB Distribution Office of PT Malika Putri Tunggal (MPT), Kiyap Jaya Village, Bandar Sei Kijang District, Pelalawan Regency.

In the incident, a female employee was the victim of a brutal act by the perpetrator who dared to stab the victim dozens of times before taking away the company's money worth around Rp76 million.

Wakapolres Pelalawan Kompol Asep Rahmat said that the disclosure of the case was the result of the rapid work of the URC Satreskrim Pelalawan Police together with the Bandar Sei Kijang Police who moved immediately after receiving a report from the community through the 110 emergency service.

"As soon as the report was received, the team immediately conducted an investigation at the crime scene, collected witness statements, analyzed CCTV footage, and pursued the perpetrator. In less than 12 hours, the identity of the perpetrator was successfully known and the person concerned could be secured," said Kompol Asep, Friday, June 19.

He explained that the suspect who was arrested had the initials JA (27). Based on the results of the investigation, the perpetrator had planned his actions by first observing the condition of the office and ensuring that the victim was alone at the location.

"This is a very serious criminal act because it not only targets property, but also threatens the victim's life. We appreciate the quick response of personnel in the field so that the perpetrators can be immediately arrested and evidence can be secured," he said.

The Deputy Police Chief added that the victim is currently undergoing intensive treatment due to the serious injuries he suffered. The Pelalawan Police are committed to providing assistance and ensuring that the legal process runs professionally until it is completed.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Pelalawan Police Reskrim AKP Bayu Ramadhan explained that the incident occurred on Wednesday (17/6/2026) at around 17.00 WIB.

At that time, the victim who worked as an admin and cashier was alone at the TBS SPB disbursement office of PT MPT.

The Rapid Response Unit (URC) of the Pelalawan Police Criminal Investigation Unit revealed a case of robbery with violence (curas) which occurred at the TBS SPB Disbursing Office of PT Malika Putri Tunggal (MPT), Pelalawan Regency.

The perpetrator entered the office and asked for the key to the safe that stored money. When the victim refused and shouted for help, the perpetrator immediately committed brutal violence.

"The perpetrator initially used scissors taken from the office desk to threaten the victim. Because the victim resisted, the perpetrator then hit, dropped, kicked, stepped on the victim's head, and stabbed the victim repeatedly. After the scissors used were bent, the perpetrator took a screwdriver and returned to stabbing," explained AKP Bayu Ramadhan.

As a result of the attack, the victim suffered serious injuries with about 22 stab wounds to the head, stomach, and shoulder. Despite being in critical condition and covered in blood, the victim was still able to send a WhatsApp message to his colleague to ask for help before being evacuated to the hospital.

From the results of the examination, the suspect admitted to taking away cash of around Rp. 76 million from the office safe.

"Some of the proceeds of the crime were successfully secured by the police during the arrest or from the storage location at the perpetrator's residence," said AKP Bayu.

AKP Bayu said the team managed to arrest the suspect on Thursday (18/6/2026) early morning while on his way to Sei Kijang Port.

When he was about to be dismissed, the perpetrator tried to escape and endangered the officers so that a firm and measured action was taken according to procedure. From the suspect's hand, the police secured tens of millions of rupiah in cash, which was the remaining proceeds of the crime.

"The temporary motive we obtained from the results of the examination is the economic factor. The perpetrator admitted that he was in debt, including online loan debt, and needed money to meet personal needs," he said.

In addition to securing the suspect, the police also seized a number of evidence in the form of scissors, screwdrivers, fans used during the violence against the victim, the motorcycle used by the perpetrator, and the proceeds of crime.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 479 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison.

Kompol Asep emphasized that the Pelalawan Police would not give room for perpetrators of crimes that threaten the safety of the community.

"This is proof that we will quickly, firmly, and professionally handle any criminal act that disturbs the community. We also appeal to the public to immediately report if they know or experience a crime so that it can be handled immediately," he said.
