Peyek Rumahan and Fried Chicken Flour Business Owned by Jufriyah Continues to Grow with BRI

SERANG - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk continues to encourage Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to grow through strengthening business capacity and expanding market access. One of the business actors who feel the benefits is the Ria Barokah UMKM owned by Jufriyah from Serang City, Banten, who is now developing various culinary products ranging from peyek, fried chicken flour, crispy chicken skin, to fried chicken box rice packages.

The owner of the UMKM Ria Barokah Jufriyah revealed that her business started from the production of peyek which was only made seasonally to meet orders before Eid al-Fitr. As a housewife who also receives sewing services, she runs the business to help increase the family's income.

As time went on, Jufriyah took care of the Business Registration Number (NIB) and halal certification as well as developing various new products. In addition to the snack, he started producing fried chicken and rice box packages at affordable prices. Not stopping there, he also developed Ria Barokah Fried Chicken Flour which is now one of the flagship products of his business.

The versatile flour has a savory taste and can be used for various processed foods, ranging from fried chicken, crispy chicken skin, mushrooms, tofu, to other fried foods. In the process of developing the business, Jufriyah also got to know LinkUMKM through the BRI Serang BUMN House.

"I decided to always actively participate in various LinkUMKM activities, ranging from social media to online training. From these activities I gained a lot of experience and opportunities that are beneficial for the business I run," he said.

One of the benefits felt by Jufriyah after joining LinkUMKM is access to free halal certification and full printing packaging for Ria Barokah Fried Chicken Flour products. In addition, he is also actively utilizing the LinkUMKM scoring and Showcase features. Through the scoring feature, Jufriyah can find out the level of development and class of his business so that it helps him understand his business position at this time.

"Alhamdulillah with supporting packaging, sales have increased and the product has become easier to recognize. I as a business owner also become more confident in marketing products because the packaging is better," he said.

Jufriyah also uses QRIS BRI to support her daily business activities. According to him, the use of QRIS helps facilitate transactions while minimizing the risk of receiving payments with counterfeit money. Currently, Ria Barokah products are marketed through various channels, ranging from direct sales, resellers, exhibitions, social media, to Etalase LinkUMKM. The marketing reach has also expanded from Serang City to various regions in Banten Province as well as a number of areas outside the province.

Until April 2026, as many as 16.46 million MSMEs have used LinkUMKM to expand market access, increase business capacity, and encourage the acceleration of MSMEs to rise in class. The platform presents six main features, namely UMKM Smart, BUMN House, UMKM Media, Community, Digital Showcase, and the Register for Business Identification Number (NIB) service.

On a separate occasion, Micro BRI Director Akhmad Purwakajaya conveyed that Jufriyah's story reflects the importance of consistency and willingness to adapt in developing a business. According to him, many MSMEs have the potential to grow when supported by adequate learning and capacity development access.

"Small steps that start from home-based businesses can grow into larger business opportunities when run consistently. The ability to present products that are relevant to market needs while utilizing various business development opportunities is an important factor in strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs. Therefore, BRI will continue to present various programs that can help MSMEs develop their businesses, strengthen product quality, and open up wider market opportunities," concluded Akhmad.
