The film Tanah Runtuh is ready to be released on June 25, raising the perspective of children in the midst of conflict.

JAKARTA - The film Tanah Runtuh from the production company Denny Siregar Production is ready to premiere in all Indonesian cinemas starting June 25.

Setting the background of the social conflict in Poso, Central Sulawesi, this film tries to bring a new perspective that focuses on human values and unity through the journey of two children.

The film directed by Rudi Soedjarwo tells the story of two siblings, Kai (Yoan) and Ringgo (Ridho Khaliq), who are separated from their mother in the midst of chaos.

On their way to find their mother, they then meet Idham, played by Vino G. Bastian, a police officer who tries to help save them.

Denny Siregar as the producer said, the decision to choose the children's point of view is a special treatment to convey the message of peace without triggering polarization or mutual hatred in the community, given the background of the events that are raised are very sensitive.

"How do you create a riot but not make people hate each other. It's not easy. In the end, I and Rudi agreed to enter the point of view of two children who lost their mother," said Denny at a press conference in Setiabudi, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 18.

Meanwhile, Vino G. Bastian admitted that he really liked the initial narrative of Tanah Runtuh. According to him, this film managed to capture the details of humanity that often escaped media coverage when a major event occurred.

"Too many people capture the event on a large scale, but the small things are forgotten. In a riot, chaos, the most victims are children. But they can't speak," said Vino.

"They were never asked, and they are the part that seems to have escaped the news. Everything is based on numbers, numbers, numbers, but the details we never know," he continued.

The 44-year-old actor added that the film Tanah Runtuh is an important reminder for all Indonesian people about the essence of a tolerance that must continue to be actively maintained, starting from the smallest social unit, namely the family.

In addition, Rudi Soedjarwo also shared his views on the depth of the message that he tried to present. For him, this film is not just a matter of cinematography techniques, but a medium of reflection together about the relationship between humans.

"And why do I say that the direction is right, because there is a term, that a country actually starts from a family. That's what we sometimes forget, that one family doesn't mean it's not important. The country is formed from those families. And in the family there are children, there are fathers, there are mothers. Without them there is no country, finished," said the director.

In addition to the names mentioned above, the film Tanah Runtuh is also starring Sigi Wimala, Kurnia Nizar, Umar Akbar, Jerry Likumahwa, Tubagus Ali, Royhan Hidayat, Jenda Munthe, Agnes Naomi Shivapriya, Tike Priatnakusumah, Gerald Yo, Runny Rudiyanti, Luna Allegra, and Sari Koeswoyo.
