Student Demo 19 June 2026, Police Deployed 4,263 Personnel at DPR and Monas

JAKARTA - A total of 4,263 joint personnel were alerted to secure the demonstration that would be held by students in the DPR/MPR complex area, Senayan, Monas, the Pullman Hotel parking area, Tugu Tani, to the Ministry of Finance in Central Jakarta, Friday, June 19.

Head of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Pol Reynold EP Hutagulung, said thousands of joint personnel came from various elements, ranging from the Polda Metro Jaya, Central Jakarta Metro Police, to the ranks of the Polsek.

"A total of 4,263 joint personnel from the police, regional police, regional police units in Central Jakarta and others," said Reynold in his official statement, quoted on Friday morning.

Reynold explained that security personnel would be deployed in a number of areas that were the location of the action or the path that could be affected by the activity. Security is not only focused on the DPR/MPR area, but also includes the Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta.

He added that all personnel involved would attend a security appeal scheduled to take place starting at 13.00 WIB before being stationed at a number of predetermined locations.

Previously, Trisakti University students announced plans for a protest in the DPR/MPR area through the Trisakti University Student Presidency Instagram account, @kepresmausakti. The students will start gathering at 10.00 WIB at the Trisakti University Outer Monument.

In the call for action circulated through social media, Trisakti students conveyed a number of demands related to the national economic and political conditions which were considered to need serious attention from the government.
