Mertua's Support for Amanda Manopo, From Cork Fish to Katuk Leaves to Launch Breast Milk
JAKARTA - Behind the success of Kenny Austin's career, there is a very big role for the family in helping to care for his wife after giving birth. Kenny revealed that his mother also intervened to provide various traditional health tips.
"Chickens, angkaks, that's the basics, right," said Kenny Austin in South Jakarta, Wednesday, June 17.
He detailed several types of intake recommended by the mother to speed up the wife's recovery process after undergoing the delivery process.
"Yesterday, if I'm not mistaken, there was also cork fish, he said it was to speed up the recovery process. There are katuk leaves, what is the name of the leaves, herbal medicine is the right name," continued Kenny.
Although the times are modern, Kenny admitted that his family still appreciates local wisdom that has been passed down from generation to generation by the Indonesian people.
"Yes, a lot, a lot. It's the trust of people in the past that is still being done until now," he said.
As a "standby" husband, Kenny ensures that his attention is fully poured into his wife, especially regarding the adequacy of nutrition to provide exclusive breast milk for their child.
"Yes, just be on standby. It's really sad for the child, of course, yes. Full attention to the child as well. And still focus on nutrition as well, because no matter what, you have to give breast milk," explained Kenny.
The presence of the grandson turned out to be a moment that Kenny's mother was looking forward to. This is what makes the mother very enthusiastic about helping to take care of the baby's needs.
"Of course (to help care for the baby). Mama has also been waiting for a grandchild for a long time," said Kenny with a happy expression.
Although he wants to always be by his son and wife's side, Kenny hasn't dared to bring his child to the shooting location because of the consideration of the less conducive field conditions.
"Yes, it's not yet, it's hot," he concluded.
