Pertamina Patra Niaga Emphasizes Non-Subsidi Fuel Prices Follow Market Prices

JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that the price determination of the Pertamax series on June 10, 2026 refers to the market price mechanism according to the formula set by the government.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun said the explanation for the determination and adjustment of the non-subsidized fuel prices was in line with the information that had been conveyed by the government that the Pertamax series was a non-subsidized fuel whose selling price followed the development of market parameters according to the applicable formula. Meanwhile, subsidized fuels such as Pertalite and Biosolar are determined by the government without change.

"Non-subsidized fuels such as the Pertamax series are products whose selling prices are adjusted to the development of market conditions and economic factors that affect the cost of procuring energy," said Roberth, Thursday, June 18.

Furthermore, Roberth explained that normally the evaluation of non-subsidized fuel prices is carried out periodically.

"In principle, the price of non-subsidized fuel is evaluated periodically every month according to the development of economic parameters. However, its implementation still takes into account the policies set by the government," he added.

In the midst of global conditions and dynamics where world oil prices are rising due to geopolitical conditions, he continued, the Government always maintains the price of non-subsidized fuel types of Pertamax series is always stable without experiencing an increase.

The price adjustment carried out in June for Pertamax type fuel takes into account fluctuations in international market prices, while still taking into account the economic conditions of the people in the country. The Pertamax price adjustment carried out at this time is 50 percent of the market price difference, and when compared to the price of similar fuel in neighboring ASEAN countries, it remains more competitive to maintain purchasing power and the economy.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to be committed to carrying out government assignments while maintaining energy availability for the community. We invite the public to obtain information from official government and Pertamina channels, namely Pertamina Customer Solution 135, to obtain complete and accurate information," concluded Roberth.
