Tens of Thousands of Candidates for Village Cooperative Managers and Fishermen Villages Must Attend Latsarmil

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) stated that tens of thousands of prospective managers of the Red and White Village / Village Cooperative (KDMP) and Red and White Fishermen Village (KNMP) are required to attend the Basic Military Training (Latsarmil) Reserve Component (Komcad). During the training period, participants will be equipped with various military and managerial materials.

The Head of the Defense Information Bureau of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General TNI Rico Ricardo Sirait, explained that this briefing is crucial to forming a strong management character.

"Through the latsarmil Komcad, participants are equipped with knowledge and values of discipline, leadership, teamwork, integrity, dedication spirit, and strong work ethic," said Rico Ricardo Sirait when confirmed in Jakarta, Thursday, June 18.

Rico added that the material of the latsarmil is very important to strengthen the leadership, discipline, and national insight of the participants before directly carrying out their duties at the KDMP and KNMP. Not only military aspects, participants will also receive managerial material and competence in the fields that are prepared together with the relevant technical ministries.

Overall, the physical and disciplinary material provided will be exactly the same as the training received by Komcad members in general. This series of training is an absolute requirement that must be met before the assignment.

The total number of participants who attended this program reached 35,476 people, with 30,000 prospective KDMP managers and 5,476 prospective KNMP managers. They are scheduled to undergo Komcad training for 45 days at 67 TNI units spread throughout Indonesia.

"The discipline training was carried out for 30 days and continued with managerial training for 15 days," said Rico.

Through this integrated program, the Ministry of Defense hopes that the capacity, discipline, and dedication of the managers can be significantly increased, so that they can optimize economic services and food security directly to the community.
