Faster Visa, Nusuk Cards Distributed from Home Country, Hajj Chaos Begins to Diminish

BOGOR - The government has started to fix one of the classic problems of the haj, namely the delay of documents and the problem of the identity of the pilgrims when they arrive in Saudi Arabia.

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf or Gus Irfan said the acceleration of visa issuance and distribution of Nusuk cards was one of the important improvements in the implementation of the 2026 hajj.

According to Gus Irfan, the target for the issuance of the Hajj visa is in the middle of Ramadan so that various departure processes can be better prepared.

Meanwhile, the Nusuk card or official identity card for pilgrims and umrah issued by the Saudi government. which is the official identity of the pilgrims in Saudi Arabia has been distributed since they were still in Indonesia.

"The visa must be issued around the middle of Ramadan. Nusuk has started to be distributed in the country," said Irfan in Hambalang, Bogor, Wednesday (17/6).

The improvement has a direct impact on various problems that have long been complained about by the congregation.

Gus Irfan said the early distribution of Nusuk helped reduce the risk of pilgrims being separated from their families, difficulties in accessing services, to problems with hotel placement upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.

According to Gus Irfan, a number of administrative chaos that had occurred in previous Hajj seasons are now beginning to be suppressed.

The government has made the improvement of travel documents as one of the main focuses because it is directly related to the comfort and safety of pilgrims while in the Holy Land.
