Gojek Gives Scholarship for S1 to Top State Universities for Hundreds of Driver-Family Partners
JAKARTA - The ride-hailing service provider, Gojek, which is part of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GoTo), distributes the Gojek Scholarship 2026 through the GoTo Merah Putih Foundation (YGMP). Unlike previous years, this time the scholarship has been expanded not only for partner children, but also for Gojek driver partners who want to continue their undergraduate (S1) higher education.
The Gojek 2026 scholarship is given to driver partners and their families who have been declared to have passed the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT) and National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) in 2026. It is recorded that more than 150 driver partners and partner children are scholarship recipients, this figure has increased more than five times compared to the previous year. Hans Patuwo, President Director of the GoTo Group, hopes that this scholarship can open more opportunities for partners to continue to grow and achieve a better life.
"The expansion of the Gojek Scholarship Program is a form of appreciation and commitment for us to continue to encourage the welfare of driver partners and their families. We understand that behind every journey that our partner friends take every day, there is a future dream that is being fought for," said Hans in a written statement, Wednesday, June 17.
The Gojek scholarship is given through the GoTo Merah Putih Foundation. From thousands of applicants in various cities in Indonesia, the foundation selected more than 150 of the best and most outstanding applicants to be able to continue their undergraduate studies for free at various prestigious Indonesian universities such as the University of Indonesia (UI), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), and other prestigious universities.
A total of 54.76 percent of Gojek scholarship recipients were accepted into the SAINTEK (Science and Technology) study program, while the other 45.24 percent will continue their studies in the SOSHUM (Social Humanities) category.
"We see how family support is the main strength that helps applicants overcome various challenges and failures. Behind the thousands of applicants we received this year, 150 Gojek Scholarship recipients were selected who are the best sons and daughters of the nation and were successfully accepted at various best state universities in Indonesia," said Amelia Callista, Chairman of the GoTo Merah Putih Foundation (YGMP) in his statement.
Through this Scholarship Program, Gojek and YGMP hope to continue to pave the way for driver partners and their families to achieve a better and prosperous future. The Gojek Scholarship Program is one of the forms of appreciation and commitment of the GoTo Group to continue to encourage the welfare of driver partners and their families.
