Kejaksaan Kembali Periksa Sony Sonjaya Usai Ajukan Justice Collaborator dalam Kasus Korupsi MBG
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has again scheduled an examination of the former Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sony Sonjaya, who has been named a suspect in the case of alleged corruption in the management of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program.
The examination was carried out after investigators received a justice collaborator (JC) application submitted by Sony.
Sony's lawyer, Krisna Murti, confirmed that his client had received a summons from the investigators of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).
"I have received a notification letter for the examination of my client on Thursday," said Krisna, Wednesday (17/6/2026).
However, his party has not yet known for sure the location of the examination to be carried out by investigators.
"(I don't know) whether it's in the interrogation room or in the detention center," he said.
Separately, the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, confirmed that Sony's examination would take place at the Attorney General's Office on Thursday (18/6/2026).
"At the Kejagung Bundar Building," said Anang.
Previously, the Attorney General's Office stated that the application for a justice collaborator submitted by Sony had been accepted and is currently still in the study phase. Investigators will investigate the application in conjunction with the agenda of the examination scheduled this week.
"The application against JC has indeed been received and studied by investigators," said Anang.
Meanwhile, Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah emphasized that the status of justice collaborator cannot be given automatically. Investigators will first assess the need for evidence and the contribution of the testimony provided by the suspect in uncovering the case.
"First, we will see what the evidence is. Do we need more information from him," said Febrie.
According to him, the possibility of granting JC status is still being studied, including the extent to which the information provided by the suspect can help uncover the construction of the case more thoroughly.
In this case, the Attorney General's Office has named five suspects, namely the former Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana, the former Deputy Head of BGN Lodewyk Pusung, Sony Sonjaya, Asep Yusuf Somantri, and Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal, Andri Mulyono.
The Attorney General's Office also revealed alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program. One of the findings that are being investigated is the appointment of SPPG partners who are allegedly not in accordance with the provisions because they involve a number of foundations that have affiliations with internal parties.
