Prabowo asks for updates on rare technology and earth metals, what's up?

BOGOR - President Prabowo Subianto has called on the Minister of Higher Education and Science and Technology to request the latest report on human resource development and a number of strategic collaborations in the field of technology.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said the discussion was related to the process of education, training, and the need for skilled personnel to support the future industry agenda.

"He wants to get updates from the Minister of Higher Education and Science and Technology regarding the preparation of human resources management," said Prasetyo at the Garuda Yaksa Training Center, Hambalang, Bogor, Wednesday (17/6).

In addition to human resource development, the President also asked for the latest developments in a number of cooperation related to technology and rare earth metals.

Rare earth metals are a strategic mineral group that is an important material for high technology industries, electric vehicles, batteries, and modern electronic devices.

According to Prasetyo, some education and training programs have been running and are now entering the evaluation stage of development.

This discussion shows the government's attention to the readiness of national human resources in the midst of increasing technology needs and strategic mineral management which is coveted by many countries.

In addition to receiving reports related to human resources and technology, the President also carried out a routine agenda with a number of ministers to monitor the implementation of government programs.
