The 2027 Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Budget is proposed as high as Rp. 27.33 trillion.

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia proposed a budget for his ministry in 2027 of IDR 27.33 trillion.

Bahlil said that the allocation of energy infrastructure in the indicative ceiling would be set at Rp. 22.4 trillion.

"Especially for 2027, the total indicative ceiling is IDR 27.23 trillion. We divide the strategic infrastructure program tools by 82 percent," said Bahlil in a Working Meeting with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Monday, June 15.

Based on data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the largest budget will be allocated to the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Migas) of IDR 11.32 trillion, followed by the Directorate General of Electricity (Gatrik) with IDR 10.46 trillion, then the Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of IDR 1.81 trillion, and the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal (Minerba) of IDR 702.52 billion.

Bahlil explained that the reason why the Directorate General of Oil and Gas and Gatrik became the largest recipient of allocations was because it was in accordance with the discussion with Commission XII previously which emphasized on gas networks, village electricity programs and free electricity installation for the community.

"Indeed, this figure is more allocated to the Directorate General of Electricity and the Directorate General of Energy. Why? because it starts from the Working Meeting with the Members of the XII DPR Commission who always convey the aspiration that village electricity, free electricity installation, gas network affairs, that is our aspiration as the government, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources tries to adopt and understand from the members of the XII commission so that 80 percent of the allocation is for the people," said Bahlil.
