Commission I of the DPR asks the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to support the Iran-US Peace Agreement

JAKARTA - Member of Commission I of the House of Representatives, Oleh Soleh, asked the Indonesian government to fully support the agreement between the United States (US) and Iran to end the war that has been causing tension in the Middle East region.

He assessed that support for the agreement, which also marked the end of the United States military blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, was part of Indonesia's commitment to maintaining world order and peace.

"We hope that the Indonesian Government will provide full support for this peace agreement and continue to encourage the resolution of conflicts through diplomatic channels," Oleh Soleh told reporters, Monday, June 15.

By Soleh, he emphasized that all parties must fully support the ceasefire agreement in order to maintain world stability and peace. According to him, countries that have a connection to the conflict must also show the same commitment to support peace.

"The United States and Iran must both be committed to maintaining peace. There should be no more war between the two countries. This peace agreement must be respected and maintained by all parties," said the PKB politician.

"Israel, which is an American ally, must also not attack Iran. Israel's steps and tactics must be watched. Don't let Israel destroy the peace agreement by attacking Iran again," added the member of the international relations commission.

Soleh also hopes that a peaceful agreement between the United States and Iran can have a positive impact on global conditions, especially on the stability of the world economy.

"This peace agreement is expected to have a positive impact on the international community. With a more conducive situation, world oil prices can return to stability, as well as the prices of various basic necessities and other goods. In the end, the world community will feel the benefits of creating peace," he concluded.
