June 15 Student Demo: Held Simultaneously in Jakarta, Medan, Semarang, and Palembang
JAKARTA - A massive student demonstration will be held on Monday, June 15. In addition to Jakarta, demonstrations of a number of student elements will also be held in other areas such as Semarang, Palembang, Medan, and Palembang.
In Jakarta, the rally will be held at HI Roundabout, the DPR/MPR Building, and in front of the State Palace, carrying social, economic, and democratic issues through the call for action entitled #TataUlangIndonesia.
"Call for action #tataulangindonesia. Manifestation of the socio-economic crisis, legal reform, and the threat of Indonesia's democratic regression," wrote BEM UBK quoted from the X account, Monday morning.
The call to take to the streets was also voiced by the Paramadina University Student Association, Jakarta with a gathering point at the Nurcholis Madjid Building Lobby at 13.00 WIB.
The call for a demonstration was also voiced by students in North Sumatra. "The call for action #menujuindonesiagagal calls on all students in North Sumatra," wrote the North Sumatra student action call.
In Semarang, the call for a demo was also voiced by HMI Semarang cadres with action points at all central points of Semarang City starting at 10.00 WIB.
North Sumatra students will hold a demonstration at the North Sumatra DPRD office with issues regarding the National Police Law, national economy, MBG program, energy, education and environment.
Students at UIN Raden Patah University in Palembang also issued a call for action with the hashtag Indonesia Darurat.
"Inviting all UIN Raden Patah Palembang students and students from South Sumatra to gather in front of the South Sumatra DPRD building starting at 08.00 WIB," wrote UIN Raden Patah Palembang University.
