NCFS National Stage 2026: STIEM Bongaya Makassar Champion

YOGYAKARTA - The Bongaya Makassar Higher School of Economics (STIEM) emerged as the champion of the Wondr National Collegiate Futsal Series (NCFS) National Stage 2026 after defeating STIE Indonesia Jakarta with a narrow score of 3-2 in the final match at the GOR Nusantara UGM, Yogyakarta, Saturday, June 13, 2026 WIB.

The new champion was born from a futsal competition between campuses. STIEM Bongaya succeeded in becoming the national futsal champion for students. This is STIEM's best achievement after ranking third in last year's edition.

The success of STIEM Bongaya in winning the title was inseparable from Fahmi Fatur Rahman's brilliant performance. He scored all the winning goals in the 13th, 17th, and 31st minutes.

Meanwhile, STIE Indonesia actually also put up a fight. The team from the Jakarta camp tried to catch up even though they could only score two goals through Rakesh Abrar in the 19th and 39th minutes.

Through a fierce battle, the STIEM Bongaya players and officials immediately rejoiced after the final whistle blew. STIEM Bongaya coach Muh Afdhal Chaeruddin, admitted that he was grateful for being able to meet the target. Moreover, they achieved it through a tight battle.

"Alhamdulillahi rabbil alamin. We have indeed targeted the national champion from the beginning. The reason is that last year we only ranked third nationally. So this year everything is according to plan," said Afdhal.

In the final match, STIEM Bongaya was able to dominate the game. They maintained consistency throughout the match. According to Afdhal, the team's dominance in the final match did not come instantly. Preparation that has been carried out for a long time is one of the main factors of success.

"We have prepared the team for a year. This makes our preparation more mature and better," he said again.

Interestingly, STIEM Bongaya is not strengthened by national team players. They only have one experienced player in the Pro League, namely Aksa Putra from Moncongbulo FC. Meanwhile, the opponent is said to be strengthened by a number of Pro League players.

"We don't have any national team players. There is only one Pro League player, Aksa Putra. While the opponent from Jakarta almost all Pro League players," said Afdhal, who is an alumnus of STIEM Bongaya.

"However, we have the key to success, namely team unity and cohesion. So it's not just a technical factor, but also a non-technical factor, namely unity and cohesion," he said.

He added, about 80 percent of the player material brought this season is still the same as last year. There are only a few player changes to complete the squad.

After winning the title, STIEM Bongaya did not want to be satisfied quickly. They have set a target to defend the trophy in the next edition.

"After this victory, we want to be consistent. We hope to defend the title next year," said Afdhal.

Meanwhile, the General Chairman of the Indonesian Futsal Federation (FFI), Michael Victor Sianipar, said that student competitions such as Wondr NCFS are an important platform in producing new talents for Indonesian futsal.

He said that the number of participants who took part in the competition, ranging from regional to national levels, reached 240 campuses from various regions in Indonesia.

According to Michael, Indonesia has great potential in the futsal branch. This is reflected in Indonesia's current position as the 14th in the world.

"The talent of Indonesian futsal has great potential. We are now ranked 14th in the world and that should be a source of pride. Competitions like this are one way to produce players who can later speak at the international level, including the AFC Cup," he said.
