Fierce Duel of National Team Legends Ends in a Draw, Mamak Alhadad Scores a Goal

DEPOK - The atmosphere of typical football competition was felt again at the Mako Brimob Kelapa Dua Field, Depok, Saturday (13/6/2026), when former Indonesian National Team players along with a number of police officials held a friendly match titled Charity Game. Even though it was packaged in a spirit of togetherness and concern, the match was still intense. Two teams, which were strengthened by Indonesian football legends, namely the Red Legend and the White Legend, showed each other their best abilities in the 2x30-minute match.

The White Legend team is strengthened by a number of big names who have adorned national football such as Herry Kiswanto, Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, Peri Sandria Wahyu Tanoto and Muhammad Mamak Alhadad as well as other former national players. Meanwhile, the Red Legend relies on experienced players such as Budi Sudarsono, Alex Saununu, Nuralim, Rahmad Darmawan and a number of other former national players. Each team is also strengthened by several police generals.

Since the first whistle was blown, both teams immediately displayed an open game. Individual actions, measured passes, to entertaining final solutions made the audience enjoy the course of the match. Although the players are no longer young, the competitive spirit and fighting instinct are still clearly visible on the field. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. The result is considered to reflect the tightness and excitement of the match which took place in an atmosphere of friendship and nostalgia for national football.

Special highlights are directed to Muhammad Mamak Alhadad who scored the only goal for the White Legend. The former Indonesian national team striker showed his sharp instincts in front of the goal even though he is now in his seventies.

"We, representatives of former national players, thank all the donors who have participated in this event. Hopefully, the sympathy given to the families of the deceased national players can be useful and well utilized," said Mamak Alhadad after the match.

Mamak's goal was a special moment in itself. In the midst of a warm and friendly atmosphere, he proved that the sharpness of a true striker never really disappears.

Behind the competition on the field, the main purpose of this activity is to provide sympathy to the families of nine former national players who have died. The assistance is given as a form of respect for their services to Indonesian football.

Some families who received sympathy ropes include the families of the late Dede Sulaiman, Ronny Paslah, Junaidi Abdillah, Wahyu Hidayat, and a number of other former national players who have passed away. Mamak hopes that similar activities can continue to be held regularly. In addition to being a forum for socializing among former players, the event is also a form of concern for the families of Indonesian football fighters who have made the nation proud.

"Hopefully, activities like this can continue and become a routine agenda to strengthen the relationship between former national players," he said.

The match may have ended without a winner, but the spirit of brotherhood and concern that was created at the Mako Brimob Field became the greatest victory for all football people who were present that day.

"We would like to thank the Mako Brimob for their support and facilitating the implementation of this activity. Thanks to the good assistance and cooperation, the event can run smoothly, orderly, and successfully. Hopefully, synergies like this can continue to be forged to support positive activities for the big family of Indonesian football," said David Sulaksmono, Chairman of IFA (Indonesia Football Ambassador).
