Review Of COVID-19 Vaccinations At Kampung Rambutan Terminal: Jokowi: Those Vaccinated Drivers, Kernets And MSMEs At The Terminal

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reviewed the mass COVID-19 vaccination at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal, East Jakarta with Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

The vaccination was given to transportation actors and the community around the Kampung Rambutan Terminal.

"This morning we carried out vaccinations at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal which we gave to transportation operators because Kampung Rambutan is transportation link", Jokowi said as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Thursday, June 10.

He explained the interaction between humans in this terminal is very high. Thus, the provision of vaccines for drivers to small, micro, and medium entrepreneurs is needed.

"Why do we give vaccinations here? Because the perpetrators here are those who have very high interaction with the community, then mobility out of town is very high. So we give priority", said the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Furthermore, Jokowi said there were around 1,000 people at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal who would be vaccinated against COVID-19.

"The perpetrators who were vaccinated, including drivers, assistants, and small and micro-businesses in the terminal and its surroundings, were all vaccinated this morning. Approximately 1,000 people", he said.

With this vaccination program, he hopes that the community will be protected from the transmission of COVID-19.

"We hope that from about a thousand people being vaccinated today, this will protect against the spread of COVID-19", said Jokowi.

Previously, based on data from the Ministry of Health as of Wednesday, June 9, it was recorded that 18,718,769 people had received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 11,436,259 the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40,349,049 people.
