KPK Seizes a Number of Procurement Documents Related to the Muara Enim Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized a number of documents related to the procurement process when searching four locations on June 12, 2026 in the investigation of the alleged bribery of the procurement of goods and services in the Muara Enim Regency Government in the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

"From these activities, investigators found and seized a number of documents suspected of being related to the procurement process and the parties involved in the case," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta, Saturday.

Furthermore, Budi said that the four locations searched by the KPK, namely the office of the Regent of Muara Enim, the office of the Education and Culture Service of Muara Enim, the official residence of the Regent of Muara Enim, and the house of the suspect Abi Nurwardani.

"This search is an important investigative step to complete and strengthen the construction of evidence for the case," he said.

In addition, he said that the search was a commitment by the KPK to thoroughly trace the flow of money, the role of parties and other relevant aspects to optimize the evidence of the case in the next law enforcement process.

Previously, the KPK arrested 10 people in a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) on June 7-8, 2026. Five people were arrested in Jakarta and the other five in South Sumatra.

In the 12th OTT of the KPK throughout 2026, the Regent of Muara Enim Edison was one of the parties who was arrested.

On June 9, 2026, the KPK named four suspects in the alleged bribery case related to the procurement of goods and services and other receipts in the Muara Enim Regency in the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

The four suspects are Edison, the Secretary of the Education and Culture Office of Muara Enim Abi Nurwardani, marketing officer of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi Cory Erin Hardi, and Adi Triyadi who is Edison's nephew.

The KPK then carried out a follow-up OTT on June 10, 2026, and arrested five state civil servants (ASN) of the Indonesian Financial Supervisory Board (BPK). This operation was the 13th OTT carried out by the KPK throughout 2026.

On June 11, 2026, the KPK named five people as suspects in the alleged bribery case for the BPK audit conditioning on the Muara Enim Regency in the 2025 fiscal year.

They are Edison, Cory Erin Hardi, Director of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi Fika, Augusz Dewanggara as a private party and had been a staff expert member of the Indonesian House of Representatives who is currently serving in the BPK RI, as well as ASN BPK RI who had served as the Head of the BPK Inspection Team for South Sumatra Representative Titin Rita Lestari.
