2026 World Cup results: Canada held to a 1-1 draw by Bosnia-Herzegovina

JAKARTA - The Canadian national team had to settle for a draw against Bosnia-Herzegovina with a score of 1-1 in the 2026 World Cup Group B match at BMO Field Stadium, Toronto, Friday, June 12 local time.

In this match, Bosnia-Herzegovina was ahead first through Jovo Lukic, but Canada escaped defeat thanks to Cyle Larin's goal, FIFA noted, quoted by Antara.

This draw puts Canada in first place with one point from one game, followed by Bosnia-Herzegovina in second place.

Next, Canada will face Qatar in the second match of Group B of the 2026 World Cup, Thursday, June 18 local time, while Bosnia-Herzegovina meets Switzerland on the same day.

Canada actually took the initiative to attack first in this match, but the shot fired by Jonathan David can still be secured by Bosnia goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj.

Bosnia managed to take the lead in the 21st minute after a pass from Sead Kolasinac was converted into a goal through a header from Jovo Lukic so that the score became 1-0.
