Two SMK Budi Luhur Students Selected as Participants in the 2026 Jakarta Youth Film Lab

JAKARTA - Two students from SMK Budi Luhur, Tangerang City, were selected as participants in the Cultural Filmmaking Training for Youth, Jakarta Youth Film Lab 2026 which was held from May for registration and June to August 2026 for the film making training period.

The two students of SMK Budi Luhur class XI majoring in Broadcast TV, namely Hilal Anargya Prasetyo (Argy) and Raziel Tuenku Akbar (Raziel). Both were selected and joined with 20 other participants after going through a rigorous selection and interview process.

The Jakarta Youth Film Lab is a cultural film-making training for high school and vocational high school students that is free of charge.

Previously, the Jakarta Youth Film Lab began looking for high school and vocational school students by opening registration, visiting schools, selection process, announcing 40 prospective participants, interviews, and from the 40 prospective participants, 20 participants were selected again to be selected to participate in the cultural film making training.

"Congratulations to the creators of SMK Budi Luhur who passed the selection of the Jakarta Youth Film Lab 2026. This is your stage. Bring the name of SMK Budi Luhur to the Indonesian film stage, show that SMK students are able to compete and create works that are proud of," said the Head of SMK Budi Luhur, Joko Waluyo, in his press broadcast in Tangerang, Wednesday, June 10.

"We teachers and school staff will always fully support your creative journey. Keep working, be the difference, and achieve the best!" said Joko Waluyo again.

Meanwhile, SMK Budi Luhur student who became a participant in the Jakarta Youth Film Lab, Hilal Anargya Prasetyo said that this opportunity will be used well. Because to add experience, insight and knowledge in the process of making cultural films in the future.

"I am proud, happy and grateful to be part of the Jakarta Youth Film Lab 2026. Hopefully it can add knowledge, experience, get to know other prospective filmmakers and be useful for me in the future," said Argy.

Then, Raziel Tuenku Akbar added, that by accepting as a participant in the Jakarta Youth Film Lab 2026, it will add a portfolio that is useful for entering college and entering the real world of work.
