UI BEM Demo Still Going On, MRT Temporarily Closes Three Access to Dukuh Atas and HI Roundabout Stations
JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta temporarily closed a number of access points to and from stations in the central area of Jakarta following the increasing mass density of the BEM UI demonstration and a number of community elements around the HI roundabout area.
The adjustment of access to the station was carried out at the Dukuh Atas BNI Station and the Bundaran HI Bank Jakarta Station, which are in the area affected by the demonstration activities.
At Dukuh Atas BNI Station, Entrance C and Entrance E access are temporarily closed. Then, at the Bundaran HI Bank Jakarta Station, Entrance A access is temporarily not available for customers.
Despite the restrictions on station access, MRT Jakarta ensures that train operations continue to run normally and serve passenger travel as usual.
"MRT Jakarta travel services continue to operate normally. Customers can use other station entrances and exits that are available and follow the instructions of officers in the field," said Acting Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Franky Ertanto in his statement, Friday, June 12.
The closure of a number of station access is carried out to regulate passenger movements as well as adjust the conditions on the ground which experience an increase in density.
MRT Jakarta also asks customers who will be active in the central area to pay attention to the access to the stations that can still be used so that the journey is not disrupted.
"MRT Jakarta continues to monitor the development of the situation and coordinates with relevant parties to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of customers," he said.
Until now, MRT Jakarta is still monitoring the development of the situation around the station area. Access adjustments will be implemented according to conditions in the field and can change at any time.
