Raffi Ahmad: I Only Photographed in Front of Blueray, Never Ordered Goods

JAKARTA - The controversy involving Raffi Ahmad in the Blueray case began with his marathon trip to the United States in October 2025. At that time, Raffi was visiting several businesses owned by Indonesian citizens in New York to be promoted through his personal social media.

"In New York I promote friends who have businesses, there is Awang Kitchen and Indo Java. When I finished the activity, many Indonesian friends took photos. Out of Awang Kitchen, the shop next to it is called Blueray," said Raffi Ahmad in South Jakarta, Thursday, June 11.

Blueray then called Raffi, Ariel NOAH, Gading Marten, and Desta to take a photo together in front of the store. In the crowded atmosphere, the store staff offered the latest delivery service to the artist.

"They said, 'Mas Raffi, our company can send anything. Want a phone, laptop, iPad'. Again, I said, 'Oh yes, okay, later if there is a new phone, I will send it later'. The point is, I'm good at it," said Raffi.

Raffi's clarification was strengthened by Gading Marten's testimony through a video call connection. Gading confirmed that they only knew the name of the company after the case went viral in Indonesia.

"We were in America then, we ate at Awang Kitchen, then moved to the next door Indo Java. There were people from next door asking for a photo. We just knew his name was Blueray now. Who doesn't know the person, just know his name," said Gading Marten giving testimony.

Hotman Paris, who accompanied Raffi, revealed evidence of communication from Blueray staff named Ci Lili. In a short message, Ci Lili actually felt sorry for Raffi because the slander that was circulating was not true.

"There was a chat where he said he felt sorry for A' Raffi. He said, 'He (Raffi) made the photo in front of Blueray, so it was a case, even though he didn't go in, it was just a photo in front of him. Even though he was offered for free, he didn't want it'," Hotman quoted.

This issue has grown larger after the testimony of a Blueray employee in Jakarta named Yohanes in a trial in Lampung. Yohanes briefly mentioned that there was an alleged order from Raffi, but Hotman said the BAP had been revoked.

"Yohanes in the BAP suspected that there was a possibility of an order from Raffi. Even that has been revoked. He has never met Raffi, he doesn't know, he doesn't know the phone number," said Hotman Paris.

Raffi himself admitted that he was very ignorant of technology or "gaptek" so that the latest iPhone offer from the store staff in America did not interest him at all.

"Loh, 'Oh there's a new iPhone?' I don't know. Ask my wife, I'm the most stupid person. When I was offered to send it for free, I said 'Oh no, no, I don't want it for free'," concluded Raffi Ahmad.
