TNI Komcad Members Attend Trial for Illegal Weapons Sale and Purchase at the Denpasar District Court

DENPASAR - A member of the TNI Land Component Reserve (Komcad) named Akhmad Soleh Ricardo (34) was tried at the Denpasar District Court, in a case of alleged illegal firearms (senpi) sales.

In the first trial with the agenda of reading the indictment, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Denpasar District Court, Ni Luh Hartini Pustpita Sari, outlined Soleh's actions starting when the man had the desire to have a gun.

The man born in Bandar Lampung then contacted a man named MHD Harold Patrick. The defendant asked via WhatsApp message about someone selling firearms.

"Witness MHD Harold is a defendant acquaintance during the KOMCAD-AD Education (Army Reserve Command) in Lahat, South Sumatra," said Luh Hartini as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 11.

Harold also answered that he would look for information related to the party who sold the gun.

Soleh then contacted his acquaintance again in December 2024 to ask about the progress of the goods requested.

His friend also said that there were parties selling assembled pistols with 9 mm caliber sharp bullets sold for Rp. 15 million, including five bullets.

The defendant also offered and obtained a price agreement of Rp. 14 million.

The man who works in the security and cleaning sector at a company on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Denpasar, immediately transferred using M-Banking to Harold's account.

He was also asked to take the SIG Sauer pistol and the ammunition to Lampung. However, the defendant asked that the goods be sent to Bali.

Because he did not want to take it directly to Lampung, and considering that the illegal goods ordered were dangerous objects, Soleh asked his friend to put the gun and bullets in a cigarette box.

The goods were then hidden in a cardboard box labeled snacks and souvenirs.

After that, the defendant contacted another colleague named Muhammad Tegar Khadafi (Defendant in another case) to ask for help in taking the package at Harold's house to send to the defendant's workplace using an expedition service.

According to the indictment of the JPU, although the witness Tegar Khadafi knew that the goods that were asked to be sent were a pistol type weapon along with bullets, but considering that the witness was a junior level of the defendant when he was at Komcad, he was willing to help the request, in exchange the defendant transferred Rp. 200 thousand for the cost of delivery and transportation money.

Furthermore, the package was finally received by Soleh around the beginning of January 2025 to be stored at his house, Jalan Gong Suling IV/7, Perum Bukit Pratama, Jimbaran Village, South Kuta District, Badung.

Until finally the defendant wanted to sell the black pistol on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

He also contacted one of his friends at Komcad Matera Laut named Alfa Mongkareng through a WhatsApp message and sent a photo of two guns.

Witness Alfa was asked to sell a pistol with a 9 mm bullet for a price of Rp35 million.

The next day, the defendant received a WhatsApp message from a figure who claimed to be named Made from Komcad 2025. The figure asked if the weapon had been sold and the defendant answered "no".

Furthermore, there was bargaining, until a price agreement of Rp33 million was reached.

On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the defendant carried a black SIG Sauer pistol stored in the motorcycle seat to the north of Bink Motor (in front of a nasi padang stall) on Jalan Buana Raya, West Denpasar District, Denpasar City.

Upon arriving at the place, Soleh immediately shared the location with Made.

However, not long after, several people with a strong body came and immediately secured him. Then, the defendant was handed over to the Denpasar Police for further legal proceedings.

Based on the Criminal Laboratory Examination Report of Evidence Number Lab: 154/BSF/2026 dated February 6, 2026, it was concluded that the evidence code "SAB" was a homemade hand gun with a 9.76 mm barrel diameter and after a ballistic test the weapon could fire a bullet well.

The weapon does not have a brand and serial number, on the barrel hole there is no frame and plane.

The evidence bullets with the code "PB1 to PB4" are 9 X 19mm caliber sharp bullets, full metal jacket, round nose and have never been fired (still active).

The JPU revealed that the defendant did not have a permit as required in the Regulation of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2022 concerning the Licensing, Supervision and Control of Non-Organic Firearms of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia/Indonesian National Army and Security Equipment classified as Firearms to possess and to sell and buy the black Sig Sauer-type assembled firearms from the authorized official and the firearms have nothing to do with the defendant's work.

For his actions, Soleh was charged with a single charge as provided for and threatened with imprisonment under Article 306 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).
